Adarsh Railway Station
Adarsh Railway Station
The Adarsh station was a scheme of the Ministry of Railways that aimed to upgrade Indian stations to Adarsh stations. The stations were modernised at a cost of Rs 3.15 crores, and new passenger amenities such as a foot overbridge, new waiting rooms, elevating the level of platforms, giving shelter on the platforms, and other improvements were made. With efforts as a Lok Sabha M.P. most of the railway stations of Sangrur, including Barnala, Sunam, Tapa, Dhuri, Lehragaga, and Malerkotla, were brought under this 'Adarsh' plan.
