As Education Minister of Punjab, various commendable initiatives relating to learning outcomes and quality, access, infrastructure and facilities, equity and governance processes were introduced in order to catalyse transformational change in the field of school education. Portraying this, it gives me immense pleasure to convey that the 'Performance Grading Index' (PGI) has ranked Punjab top amongst all states and union territories, with a score of 929 out of 1,000, followed by Chandigarh (912) and Tamil Nadu (911). (906). Furthermore, the 'Online Teachers' Transfer Policy' (OTTP) was implemented to ensure transparency in the transfer of public school teachers.
